Web Development Cheat Sheets

by Justin Nemeth

If you are a web developer, having some good “cheat sheets” is an excellent resource. There are some great ones available at Added Bytes for all sorts of topics including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and more. They are all free to download and are available in PDF and PNG formats.

To give myself quick access whenever I need the reference, I added a folder with all the cheat sheets right to my OSX dock. You could do the same with Windows Taskbar shortcuts, or bookmarks in your favorite browser. Now any quick help I need is just a simple click away.

It’s been one of our most requested features and we’re pleased to announce the immediate availability of PowerGallery – our new PHP solution that lets you create amazing looking image galleries. You might have noticed that we have started using PowerGallery on the main WebAssist.com site to show off all of the screenshots of our Dreamweaver extensions. You can view a live demo of PowerGallery at http://powergallery-demo.com.

In response to customer feedback and after careful consideration, WebAssist has decided to increase the value of the Extension Library offering for customers that currently own our Dreamweaver extensions. Under the new terms, customers who own our extensions and also enroll in the Extension Library will be able to keep the latest version of the extensions they own even if they cancel their membership. There’s a good graphic here that illustrates how the policy would apply according to what extension you already own.

A New Look and URL

by Hieu Bui

If you’ve visited our blog today, you’ll notice that we’ve completed a re-design and moved it to its own URL – http://blog.webassist.com.  This is just another step in our commitment to using the blog to deliver timely, relevant news and updates regarding our company and our industry. Our blog is also hooked up to our Twitter and Facebook accounts so our fans and followers will also get these updates real-time. In addition to the updated look, we’re also going to start rolling out a lot more content with articles from more contributors at WebAssist.

Our customers rock!

by Hieu Bui

We just put up a new showcase page on our site to show off some of the sites that our customers have built using our Dreamweaver extensions and PHP solutions. It always amazes me to see how talented and passionate our customers are and to see the unique things they are creating with our products. Come check it out for yourselves – there’s also a link on the showcase page for you to submit your own site for consideration.

We’re excited to announce a new Dreamweaver extension we just launched: Search for BOSS. This extension allows you to easily add a completely custom search page to your site – the search itself is powered by Yahoo! BOSS which is currently a free service from Yahoo!  We’re using this same technology to power the search page on our website so you can see a working example of what you can build with the extension.  We’re currently running a 20% discount off the purchase of the extension that ends on 11/20 so grab your copy today.
